coolio........... (possible spoiler)

imdb list coolio third on the cast list, he only appears in the movie for one scene in a church where the guys go 'hey is that coolio' camera turns to a confused looking coolio then he dissapears, hes not even on the credit roll for the end of the movie, what gives.

It's called a cameo. A well-known person makes a brief appearance in a movie and receives a lot of attention for doing so. Usually this attention is in the form of being prominently mentioned in the credits, but for some reason they decided to give Coolio verbal credit in the middle of the movie instead.

No, I don't even think it's a cameo. He actually looks confused, and all of the action stops as someone says "Hey, look, it's Coolio". I think what happened is that Coolio, hearing some odd noises in a church he was passing by, popped his head in to see what was going on. Then, the camera caught him peeking, someone said "Hey, look, it's Coolio", and they kept in in the film. If you see the film, this is clearly the only explanation. Either that, or he was such a bad actor that all but his confused expression was cut from the film.

The 'church' was a set in a former bread factory that's been turned into a movie studio, in a quiet and rather hard to find area. If Coolio was lost he could have wandered in to ask for directions (there's not much else on that street) but it seems rather unlikely.

reply

Well, Coolio came in because he was charmed by the flute. I seriously doubt he just wandered in and they caught it on film.

I always thought his appearance was hysterically funny, just by dint of being utterly inexplicable.

He's a peeler, 417, come to arrest the Zulus!

On the Swedish DVD/VHS release Coolio was actually listed on the front cover so when I watched it the first time I was pretty disappointed when he was only in it for literally 2 and a half seconds

Bad Azz had a bigger role than him

We crash into each other, just so we can feel something.
