To describe the film as appalling would be too generous. Sly must have paid big bucks to get a producer to cast him as the lead. Was it a joke to get a wooden 'b' actor like Stallone to remark a classic that starred a great actor?
Seriously if you want to see a great film the only choice is to see the Michael Caine 1971 original.

completely agree, stallones idea of a good film is to take a brilliant story, reset it in a completely different location, change the no-nonsense Carter into a snivelling wreck and completely mess up the ending
shareI thought the original Get Carter was horrible. The movie was somewhat good up until the end. The ending was quite possibly one of the worst I have ever seen. Stallone's version was much better. There is a reason the original movie is rated as a "B" Movie and this one wasn't.
