Alan Cumming's + Michael Caine's Characters (Plot Spoilers)

I'm not sure why Carter was so upset with Alan Cumming's character when it seemed like he had very little to do with the murder of Carter's brother or the rape of his niece. How/why were Cyrus and Cumming's character intertwined?

Also, what did Michael Caine's character have to do with Carter's brother Richie or Carter's niece Doreen? At the end, it seemed like he admitted to being the cameraman behind the sex tape, but that would mean he was also intertwined with Cyrus the porn king? (for money?) Caine's character claims he was friends with Richie, but why would he willingly film a porno with Richie's daughter if that were true?

Does anyone want to flesh out these two characters and their bad deeds in relation to Carter, his brother Richie and his niece Doreen?

Good synopsis, but one question still lingers.

Why did Caine's character film Richie's daughter in the porno? Since they were "partners," he should have known about Richie's daughter Doreen, right?

Cyrus ran an underground porn operation. Alan Cummings put it on the web. Eddie, the kid who Carter threw from the balcony onto his own car, was the one who went around and made the amateur porn video for the website - along with Rhona Mitra's character. Caine was involved - if only in slipping drugs to girls in his bar so Eddie and Rhona Mitra could take it from there, and Jack's brother was somehow involved in this.

Cyrus was the main bad guy. He controlled everything that happened and used other people to protect his ass. When Eddie screwed up by raping Doreen, it infuriated Carter's brother - so Caine assisted in his murder to protect both of their asses from the little side-business they had.

Basically, Eddie killed EVERYONE. He let the tape of him raping a girl fall into her father's hands. They killed Carter's brother so he wouldn't bring trouble for Cyrus or Caine and Jack Carter came and killed them all.

What about near the end of the movie where Caine's character talks about the disc being his. He says, "I'll be taking this. After all, it is my disc." That makes it sound like he filmed the incident/sex act with Doreen. You disagree?

Eddie filmed the porno with Doreen, Caine's character referred to it as "his disc" because he needed to get rid of it to keep his own hands clean.

In the first part of the movie when Carter is first talking with Cyrus, Cyrus is tells him about his business, saying, "I got a freak and a foreign guy", presumably as his partners/financial backers. The freak is Kinnear, the foreign guy must be Brumby, with Brumby being a more active partner than Kinnear. I thought that was a pretty good twist, when you find out that Brumby's involved, too.
