What aspects of the game would you like them to 'fix'? For example, more save points, a quicker way to load after a game over.

I like it the way it is gameplay-wise. Just updated graphics would be nice. No lego models.

For some reason I don't want any voice acting. I loved that you had to read what they're saying. Kinda makes you imagine what kind of voice they would have. And yeah better graphics is a must.

For 1997 these things were fine, but things a remake should improve on:
- Current-gen graphics.
- More expansive areas. There should be more of Midgar to explore and the cities and town themselves to be reflective of how big they're meant to be in-game. As a trade-off, the world map should be kept simple as it is, but just look better.
- Lots more secondary objectives. Each new main place should have a wealth of things to do ranging from simple fetch missions, to full-on sidequests. The ability to undertake jobs would be nice too, such as mercenery jobs, or guerilla missions relating to AVALANCHE's role as a freedom fighting organisation.
- Controversial choice maybe, but battles should be an improved version of the Crisis Core system. CPU controlling customised party members, with the ability to switch between them at will. But also having the option to change tactics/attacks KOTOR-style inbetween "rounds".
- Improved properly translated script.
- Expanded materia/weapon system. Not just more, but also more to do with them.
- Small changes so that it fits more snugly with other games in series? (Sidequests, optional bosses, and references to do with events/characters of the compilation eg. Meeting Turk members of Before Crisis.)
- New character to recruit?? If done properly, it could be pulled off as to not make them that big a part of the story, but still be invovled in the action.
- Just to make the game that much more immersive... Plot threads involving the other characters back-stories (Red XIII in Cosmo Canyon, Cid and his dreams of flying, Lucrecia's Cave etc) could have multi-spanning paths that depend on Cloud's actions, and treatment of party members and events. Imagine a scenario such as Corel Prison. Where players can have more say in how it pans out... Does Cloud respect Barret's wishes and stay out making for a touger battle, but making Barret's respect with you increase? Or does Cloud jump in to help making him pissed and changing future opportunities? Barret could divulge information or open up extra sidequests if he's on better terms with Cloud, but also Dyme could do the exact same if it's Barret/Cloud he's talking to as he dies. Neither path better than the other, except in the players perception of the characters they love.

I don't think there's aby reason for more save points, more would make it too easy surely.
What does needed updating imo are:
Graphics (the tech demo was just so good)
Voices (though only the Advent Children ones will do)
Camera & controls (360 degree rotation and analogue is a must)
There really is NOTHING else, any other changes might mess things about, maybe make places more expansive as someone else said, but nothing else.

Even Aeris' (Sorry I'm British, can't bring myself to say Aerith lol) it was the voice they used so it's the voice that should be :)
Actually now that I think about it I better get used to her being Aerith, it's what I guess I'll be hearing if this game does get made...
One tiny adjustment in regards to 4 digit counters.....get rid of em. I wanna get more than 9999 max HP and when i inflict more than 9999 HP i wanna see wot i actually inflicted. I'm fine with 999 max MP, but they could throw in a 4 digit for that.....for the people who aren't content with just 999. Not sure bout voice acting, but not against it. Sidequests are cool (after all, even with dual-layering, it should still be a 3 disc adventure). New games at Golden Saucer. Gil/GP exchange (tryin to get that dude is a pain). I know this sounds cheap but, since control would be handled by the analog sticks....how bout if the D-Pad did something handy, like quick spells, or could (by a button tap) enhance your spell strength, fire becomes hotter, big guard lasts longer or can reflect....jus my two cents.
