Is soooooo close to level 99 for all my guys
Had this game since when it first came out, And not once have I reached level 99... What a milestone

Eh does he become more difficult?? When I was down in lvl 50-60 Sephi was a pain in the ass. When I was 99 I killed him within 10 minutes and really easy. I really don't know why people find him more difficult if your lvl 99.

Same here. My friend's save file was level 57 for most of his characters (Cloud, Vincent, and Cid was his line-up usually) and he was destroyed the first couple times. I leveled up to 99 the first time around (granted I leveled up all my magic too) and wiped the floor with Sephiroth on my first try (few Knights of the Round worked like a charm).
He probably is more difficult if you level up too much (I guess) but the only difficulty I found was when he turned two of my characters into toads and no matter how many Maiden's Kiss I used, nothing would change them back to normal (not even reviving my team with a Phoenix Down after they die).

The toad thing is easy to overcome. Just put ribbons on them and you wont have a prob. They'll never get confused/poisoned or any other weird status.
To me Sephi is always harder the lower lvl I am.

As far as I know I've never actually had a Game Over on Sephiroth on any of my playthroughs, even though I've heard this idea that he's monstrous if you're level 99. I'm always Level 99 when I play him and I've never had trouble with him.
The Weapons are far, far tougher than him.
