Worst Episode

It's funnier to talk about bad episodes than good episodes, even if you are a fan of some TV series. So what was the worse in your opinion?

I'll say the one in which Nigel and Sydney go to a church in Sweden, only to discover that the church is now a nudist spa, and they must be naked to get in.

Justin: Good? Bad? Laughable?

I think the worst episode was when Syds fathers girlfriend was introduced, funny episode, but it was so ridiculous! lol

QUINN: Do you always talk to the TV like that?
DARIA: Only when the fridge is mad at me.

Hi Eljuma,

Actually, I liked the episode you refer to--Etched in Stone. Basically Nigel and Sydney have to decipher King Jan II's runestone which leads to his buried treasure. It was funny too when they had to enter the nude spa and 'maneuver' their way to recover the relic. There's no way, I would classify it as the worst episode of Relic Hunter. Sydney's father and his girlfriend appear in the season 2 episode "Three Rivers to Cross." I can't say much against it personally as Sydney battles the Chinese army and a bureaucrat to save a priceless ancient Tibetan jade statue from being destroyed by a massive dam project.

In my view, two of the worst episodes of Relic Hunter are Buddha's Bowl and Eyes of Toklamanee. I wasn't impressed by their production and they either have no IMDB ratings here or low ratings. However, Buddha's Bowl could be easily forgiven as it was the pilot for the Relic Hunter series since the producers were figuring their way around creating this new show.

However, the worst show of Relic Hunter was undoubtedly the season 3 episode "Women Want to Know." I never understood how Sydney could tolerate being hunted by rebels in the jungles of Southeast Asia while being verbally abused by a truly rude and unreasonable female movie producer she was protecting in a secret cave where she was trapped hiding an ancient relic. That lady was basically saying "you put me in this dangerous situation Sydney--its all your damn fault!" That season 3 episode was just atrocious to watch. Luckily there was 'All Choked Up', 'Warlock Of Nu Theta Phi', 'Antianeirai', 'The Light of Truth', 'Vampire's Kiss', 'Incognito', 'Arthur's Cross', 'Fountain of Youth', 'Sydney at Ten' and 'Wages of Sydney' and two reasonably good episodes in this season such as 'Hunting With The Enemy' and 'Devil Doll' to compensate for that turkey.

The 'worst' episode of the entire Relic Hunter series was the season 3 one: 'Women Want to Know.' It has the lowest ratings on tv.com and Imdb. Even viewers know to stay away from it. Luckily, there were maybe 10 good episodes made in the final 22 episode season of Relic Hunter and another 2-3 good or 'so so' episodes made in Relic Hunter's final year.

The second worst is the season 2 episode 'Eyes of Toklamanee.' That's my view.

I just came here to say that. I've got 'Women Want to Know' on in the background at the moment while I'm browsing this board.

The only thing slightly interesting is that Dylan Neal (who is - meh) is acting with his wife Becky.

Every singling one that has Relic hunter in the title.
Or in other words the whole gastly collection!

That's not true at all. There were many good season 1 and 2 Relic Hunter shows made. Even in season 3 (its final season), I could name several such as Sydney At Ten, The Light Of Truth, Vampire's Kiss, All Choked Up, Arthur's Cross, Antianeirai and Fountain Of Youth. But I wouldn't watch Women Want To Know, Under The Ice or Pandora's Box...which were awful. Season 3 of Relic Hunter cannot be compared to season 3 of Star Trek The Original Series where the producers bailed out on that 1960's show.

In Relic Hunter, they still tried to make quality episodes even when they knew that it would not be renewed for a fourth season.
