it's good to hear that some males who saw this were open enough to come here and admit that they cried.
i don't see how someone would see a man crying as being a wuss, b/c he wouldn't be that at all - he'd be brave to stand up against all that society has put up for men to *have to be*...
it's an emotion that we all feel, to some extent or another, and there's no reason that it should be stopped. it's just like urination, for example. it's necessary, we're human! but if we pee on ourselves, well yah - we get embarassed. i can see that correlation, but still. sheesh!
i cried my eyes out at this - i'm such an emotional person, i'm a nurse aide as well, AND being a female it's a given, but.... UGH this made me cry SO much and i'm about to have to go to bed, so i'm all stuffy now LOL
I want to buy this movie so bad now - i mean, all those life lessons to learn are all in this movie, seriously. it's not JUST a movie. I want to read the book now too though.
Hank is so hawt in this movie, BTW lol
Hank was so touching to see cry near/at the end, and i LOVE LOVE LOVED seeing Jack Lemmon in this. I love that man. He was such a GREAT actor, and will be sorely missed. I cried when Ving Rhames gave up his award to Mr Lemmon - I mean really, ya can't blame him! lol
 What can I say, I cried also just because it was sad to see Jack in such a condition knowing that not 2 years later he died of bladder cancer, probably/maybe in the same kind of condition as his character (in a way at least).
I just hope he was surrounded by his friends and family like Morrie was in the movie. :) So long as he was without pain and had loved ones by him, or whatever he wished for when he died --- i hope he got it. seriously.
