Day-um! Could no one just have condensed the first 12 minutes of this film?

We get it. Morrie's a character and a teacher. Mitch is a sports writer and his life is hectic. They reunite after Mitch sees Morrie in a news interview and learns he's ill.

It could have/should have been three minutes for that TOPS before Morrie and Mitch reunite in person and the real story begins -- that 12 minutes is all setup. This was excruciatingly irritating to have to sit through. Pure filler.

Pace, people, pace.

Sheesh, already! Get the ball rolling. :)

Ohmygod. 25 minutes in now and a barbershop quartet and even more BORING scenes of Mitch at work, Mitch and the girlfriend he ignores, and on on AND ON AND ON. The only time this movie picks up is when Lemmon's character's onscreen, but I give up. Enjoy all. I sure couldn't.
