Was this the last mini-series?

I know the idea of the mini-series is long since dead now (nobody stays home and plans to watch tv for hours each night anymore) but did this show kill it completely?

It's waaaay too long. They could have made it much better by hacking out a bunch in the middle and tightening every up and getting rid of alot of that "Lifetime" channel style psycho babble the script was riff with.

I can tell they saw women who watch Oprah or Dr. Phil or their ilk as their primary audience.

Last mini series I watched was "Storm of the Century." Way shorter, but didn't even feel worth the investment.

Technically, but only for over-the-air networks.

Sci-Fi has had a handful, including Battlestar Galactica (that became the series) and Tinman.

They're pretty expensive to make and you can't really pilot them like tv series.
