The magic well/ Prince Wendell

I might be a little late in thinking this but why didn't they just wish Prince Wendell back into a human. If they could wish him from being gold then surely they could wish him from being a dog! Am I right or am I missing something?

If I play devil's advocate I'd have to believe they could only undo the gold spell, they had to have the other individual/dog to undo the queen's spell - she would put a contingency on it like that so she could control if it ended or not.

That seems likely.

love this, but when tony gets back to ny are murray and his family still slaves ? always wondered

It's not specifically mentioned, but I would presume that once the three wishes are used, everything goes back to normal. If you watched Disney's Aladdin, once Jafar became trapped in the lamp, all the things he did as a sorcerer went back to normal. It would've been funny to see what happened in The 10th Kingdom, and if they even remembered what happened to them.

reply

I've always wondered that too!

Once upon a time there was a magical place where it never rained. The end.

The wishes were done WAY before Wendell was turned into gold. If you remember once they 1st ger to the prison and Tony us captured he tries to wish he could be free but by then he used all the wishes and threw up the bean. Also at the time...they barely could believe that Prince Wendell was actually a dog...especially since they never knew who he was or the significance of his transformation. So I would hope they wouldn't have wished hI'm back without being sure first.

But still...Wendell needed to be a dog to humble himself. He was pompous and very uppity. Having to live the life of a dog, poor and dependent on others he'll have true characteristics of a King
