Flims like this?

How about an episode of "The Twilight Zone" called, "A A Penny for Your Thoughts". It even seems that this film stole the gag of an air headed lady and the guy not hearing anything when he was close to her.

As for movies the only ones I can think of at the top of my head are the X-Men movies where the main character Professor X has the ability of telepathy. If you like animation you can also check out the 90's X-Men TV-series that many think is even better than the movie series. Also another superpowers flick called Push, but that movie wasn't very good IMO.

You could always check out the TV-series Heroes. One of the main characters, a police officer named Matt, has the ability to read people's minds. Another character can also mimic other people's abilities, so he gets it at one point too. The series might decline a bit in it's third season, but IMO the first, second and fourth seasons are really interesting if you're into superpowers. Other TV-series that feature mind reading to a lesser extent include Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation and (I think) Babylon 5 where one of the main characters have slighter telepathic powers. There's also a ton of Sci-Fi and Fantasy TV-series with one or more episodes feature characters with mind reading.

Liar, Liar with Jim Carrey also has a slightly similar feel to it (or the other way around, really), with a somewhat chauvinist divorcee that's been neglecting his family and has something supernatural happening to him to ''set him right''. You could also check out Groundhog Day, which is a exceptional movie in any case and also somewhat similar.
