I thought the storyline with Marisa Tomei was totally unnecessary and had nothing to with anything or anyone else, those scenes could have been deleted and not affected the film at all...Marisa's acting is shocking. I would have loved to have seen more scenes with Bette Midler, the writers could have made it hilarious with her. Anyone else agree?
Bette Midler was funny but Marisa Tomei was hot. I would have liked more Marisa and more of that yoga chick just to the left of Mel Gibson. ;)

I totally agree! The writers could have written more scenes for her, as you said it would have been hilarious, the writers or the director made a bad choice not making her appear in a much longer part of the film.
shareThen why don't you do it? It's easily done...simply rip and shred out the scenes you don't like. Then you have a file of a movie you prefer. I do it all the time.
But I always like the scenes with MT in them. So those aren't ones I'd delete.
And yes I know the post is 8 years old. But it's good advice for anyone who likes a movie but feels some scenes detract or make it less than enjoyable.
I could always do with more Marisa.

I think her character is there to show the possibilities of and exploit the humor in the amazing power he has. What could a guy do with such powers in bed has to be a question on the minds of a lot of viewers and to their credit the moviemakers didn't shy away from it.
