Other really fun movies like this?

Anyone know of any really fun to watch movies like this? A little scary with some humor thrown in?

The Hitcher
Duel
Speed

Not really the same genre (more sci-fi) but The Island (2005, Michael Bay) has some good chasing scenes (overall a really cool movie).

Thanks, I'll check those out!

I second "The Hitcher", as well as Vacancy and Wrong Turn.

I think the similar thread in those movies is that they made a bad choice and how things go so wrong from there.

You don't choose the soy sauce, the soy sauce chooses you.

It's funny. When I first saw this, and later, Joy Ride 2, I was reminded of Duel. This just took Duel to the next level!

Check out "Lisa" with Stacy Keanan and Cheryl Ladd. It was done circa '88 (maybe '89). It had a little bit of humor, a little bit of scary, and the premise was similar.

Kalifornia, Wild At Heart, Natural Born Killers, Thelma & Louise. Jeepers Creepers, Leatherface, for more horror, less quality.

Breakdown is not so much horror, but a perfect companion piece to this movie in my opinion.

"Breakdown is not so much horror, but a perfect companion piece to this movie in my opinion".

What than is your criteria for horror? Real life scenarios are much more disturbing and horrific than zombies and aliens.
Breakdown will not however fit the OP's query of movies with a "little humor with some scary parts". There are no comedic moments to be found here.

reply

Well its not about his criteria, horror is well established as a genre. I agree with your point, but horror it still a different genre to suspense thrillers (which i def prefer). I'd maybe try Retroactive, similar setting, tense and funny.
