Best First-Person Shooter Yet
If any video game made you feel completely part of the movie from which it spawned, it was Goldeneye. Right from the very opening with the typical James Bond entrance you knew this was something special.
Music - Simply outstanding. In keeping with the film, the background music maintains the murky, industrial edge whilst layering in elements of the famous Bond theme.
Graphics - Very good, even 10/11 years on. The character models were a tad 'sharp' and blocky, but the scenery itself was superb and I believe a fair amount was modelled on the film sets themselves.
SFX - Satisying and realistic gun sounds. An odd noise when you get hit, mind.
Gameplay - Highly addictive. Many levels to get through and the different difficulty levels never make it seem boring. In fact, I could keep going back to this game over and over and over. Trying to beat the time challenges to unlock cheats also gives another element of satisfaction.
Multiplayer - The icing on the cake. Enough said, really.
All in all, in my eyes, this is the best first-person shooter to have been made so far on any console.
