strange very strange

How else can it be described? How about...It seems as though the film's casting was done through an ad in "High Times" magazine...Mara Wilson should have capped her acting career after "Matilda" instead of having to sour herself on this tripe.....Did anyone remember to wake up Peter Fonda before the cameras were turned on?...Why if Mr. Conductor can't get back to Shining Time Station does the entire place turn to armegeddon?...And if it does turn to armegeddon, does the juggler hat and balls on the ground mean that the juggler's dead?....I shudder everytime my son asks to watch this movie. I have read a lot of comments where people say "Yeah, but my child likes it and really it's just for them..." to which I say, so is Kool-Aid and Laffy Taffy, but I don't indulge my son with it for breakfast. I let my son watch this film every so often, but soon I think it will end up in our garbage can. There are so many other great kid movies out there - even the straight Thomas the Tank Engine movies are better than this junk. And frankly, the sun's out today...I would rather take my son for a walk then endure another 90 minutes of often talented actors pretending to be utterly enchanted by the land of astroturf and fake flowers.
