50 teams from 50 states???

Shouldn't that be 51 teams since the Toros got to the nationals even though they didn't win the sectionals. So did the sports commentator just get this wrong or am I missing something?

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience

not only that but is someone supposed to believe that any eskimo from alaska would ever want to be a cheerleader? this is why this movie should be banned from the U.S.

Since tow teams from California, it's possible that they meant 50 squads from the USA. Some states may not have a squad make it to the national competition. That could easily happen, both in reality and in a movie. But if that's what they meant, then saying "50 squads from 50 states" was wrong.

I'm not sure how seriously to take someone who seems to suffer under the belief that everyone in Alaska is an Eskimo, or that they don't have high schools that are more or less similar to schools in the rest of the US.

Lived in Anchorage for 4 years ( Military) and they do have cheerleaders they also have high school football they just start the season earlier than the lower 48 states do.

Nope...i refuse to believe this lie. It's just eskimos, penguins and ice in alaska. there used to be gold, but that all got mined out by some stupid reality show on TLC or something.

stop having these disturbing fantasies! 😨

I just watched it now and it doesn't say 50 teams from 50 states. If the scene y'all are talking about is at the end, then he says something else. He says " 50 squads from 50 high schools ascross the nation are gathered here to duke it out. "
