ABC Family + political correctness

Just re-watched this on ABC Family and can't believe they bleeped "retarded" from the line "Cheerleaders are dancers who've gone retarded."

A) It's true and B) They should have bleeped and edited the whole movie now to not showing it at all.

They should have shown scarface....it's more family friendly than a bunch of retarded cheerleaders.

First off ABC family is not a family channel ok. It should be called ABC Teenager. Half of their original programming does not conform to what real family values are. The only time I watch ABC Teenager is during the holidays for the holiday movies and when harry potter is on

It's not but however when they show movies they do edit it for content for some reason. I noticed the same thing when they aired Legally Blonde.

"Don't they know they're making love to one already dead?!"

Love Les Miserables!!!

I don't remember what network I was watching it on, but they cut out the part where Missy licks her tattoo to show that it's fake. It was really weird, 'cause they still had Courtney saying that tattoos were 'forboden', and then the snarky little looks between them. It would have made more sense if they'd just cut out that whole conversation, but I don't understand what's so obscene about it anyway.

I might be wrong about this but if I remember correctly, wasn't she making an obvious attempt to show that it was her middle finger that she licked then uses to wipe the tattoo? Like I said, I could be wrong it's been a long time since I've actually watched the movie but if I recalled it correctly that would be my guess as to the reason ABC Family chose to edit the scene.

reply

Yes,Missy had her middle finger up and kept it up as she licked it to wipe the tattoo off.

reply

Yeah I haven't seen the movie in years but I distinctly remember that Missy does that with her middle finger so that is why it would have been censored out not because it was sexual or anything.

RIP Cory Monteith your fans miss you dearly

What a shame. That's one of my favorite lines in the film, and it pretty much sums up my feelings on cheerleaders. I always loved this movie because it kind of made fun of them with the over the top lines and attitudes.
