'L is real' is a Nintendo injoke. The sign also apears in Ocarina of Time, and I think there are also other sightings. Luigi is NOT in the game, Mario64 has been out for years, you'd expect at least SOMEONE to find him. Quit wasting your life trying to find him already, IT WAS A HOAX.

Luigi is NOT in the game.the sign in the courtyard doesnt say 'l is real 2041',it says Eternal Star.If Luigi was in the game he would have been found by now. Some pictures have showed Luigi in Super Mario 64 but they are fake.Luigi is NOT in the game.Full stop.

I tink Luigi has runned a way in the game and has gone on vaction.

Heh, I find it quite amusing that some people really thought that the sign said the whole "L Is real.." thing. It's clearly "Eternal Star." But yeah, I don't think he's there. Would have been found by now.

...and is that true? That all the old games will be downloadable on the Revolution? That's awesome!! I mean I still have my trusty N64, but still...

he is in the game.. you will find him once you have all 120 stars

"he is in the game.. you will find him once you have all 120 stars"

NAH mate. That's called Yoshi.

There are 175 stars, not just 120.

Luigi very well could be in there as a hidden thing but it's possibly some completely random thing, like..You have to use a glitch to find him or something, that could be quite possible.

reply

175, is that a fact?? Well god damn, that's news to me!!

Read the comments under that video. It's just a hacked ROM being run on an N64 emulator. The guy clears it up by saying;

"I reverse-engineered the polygon format inside the Mario 64 ROM. It's not a cheat, it could be released as a patch though. I will release a Super Mario 64 Level editor early next year (2006)."

There's your answer. My guess is that if its possible to do that sort of stuff with ROMs and Luigi did in fact exist in the game, then this guy (or someone else) would have discovered the Luigi model and textures within the ROM already, proving that he does exist.

reply

It's not impossible. Highly improbable? Yes. Do I believe he's there? No. It's still possible. Don't shatter people's dreams.

That's fake man!

Sorry to burst your bubble!

There are 120 stars in mario 64 & mario sunshine and in mario 64DS there are 120stars + 30 extra stars so that makes 150.
And a glitch creating a character, not a chance

You guys have it all wrong. Luigi's in Ocarina of Time. The TRIFORCE is in Super Mario 64.

People have torn apart the ROM looking for him and have yet to find any sign of him being in the game. So, no, he is definitely NOT in the game.
