Longest fall in the game?
I would guess the beginning of the vanish cap course,Rainbow Ride or maybe bowser in the sky.

i think the clock tower had a ridiculous fall. it was a long time ago but i fell when i wasn't that close to the end and i landed near the beginning of the level and i lost at least 3 pieces or maybe half of the power meter (i think it was made up of 8 pieces), so if you fell from near the last thwomp was and landed where the beginning was, then that would be a big fall..i don't think i ever did the top to bottom castle fall though or know about the glitch so that would've been interesting to try
