twist endings on this show. Did this show ever try to go for realism?

Well the stories are ripped from the headlines so... Look at our world the whole thing is a twist.

Isn't that the "charm" of the show? I like how the episode starts off and ends in a completely different way and then there are episodes that don't.

I think it's more realistic than other crime dramas (at least in their procedures)

Why would they change the formula?... it's going to be the longest running TV show ever.
In the words of Bert Lance, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it"
