Have you met this guy? He's not exactly one for following societal norms and courtesies.
Other than that, perhaps he either knew he had to or at least had a the urge to go back to Gal's and subconsciously this was his way of doing that.
Could be. It did get him kicked off the plane.
shareI do think that's it. If he goes home to London empty handed he loses. If he voluntarily gets off the plane to go back it means he's been beaten, even temporarily, and he loses. If he gets kicked off the plan he has no choice but to go back to Gals and he wins.
