i vote sexy beast. tho, it's definitely influenced by 'the hit'.

okay.. this is downright CREEPY, though strange things happen to me all the time like this.
I had just paused my criterion version of THE HIT on my DVD to come in here and look up info on The Hit, regarding Tim Roth and if it was his first movie. While on wikipedia, I'll often look up films I've seen, or am curious to see, to read about them. While sitting here, waiting for my ramen to cook, I looked up on wiki... THE LIMEY, PIERROT LE FOU (an all time fav), and finally SEXY BEAST (which I wasn't a big fan of at the time but I just got a copy of it and am eager to give it a new watch). Stumbled on here and saw your msg... and wow. Threw me for a loop.
Um, now to go finish THE HIT..

The Hit is quite good. If you like Terrence Stamp in The Hit, I strongly recommend The Limey. Like Sexy Beast, I find that it holds up very well to repeated viewings. Tim Roth has only directed one film: The War Zone. It is a very powerful tale, starring Ray Winstone. The disturbing subject matter (incest) is not everyone's cup of tea, but I am surprised Roth has not directed again, as he clearly has a lot of potential as a director.
