Don has never noticed DeeDee's eyes before because his gaze never made it beyond her (fabulous) breasts, which he is implying are not real.
I am currently enjoying Ms. Redman as Mrs. Merdle in Little Dorrit (2008). She treats her parrot almost as badly as she treats her husband. Ms. Redman is wonderful. In a scene at a lavish dinner party, a guest remarks on the luscious figure of Mrs. Merdle, noting her "twin blossoms."
While the 2008 production of Little Dorrit is very good, it does not quite match up to the great 1988 version, starring Derek Jacobi and Alec Guinness.
Amanda Redman stars in the series, New Tricks (2003-2010). I have not yet seen it, but have read good things. The pilot episode is in my netflix queue and I am looking forward to it.
Ben Kingsley, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane and Amanda Redman bring a ton of talent to Sexy Beast, making it a film worthy of repeated viewings.
BTW I've always felt that the way Logan slowly turns his head towards Dee while keeping his eyes straight ahead after she makes the comment that she was surprised that Don was 17 once was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. (this happens right before Don makes the "real eyes" comment)
