How much would the earrings be worth that Gal managed to keep?
Were they just a keepsake or of real value?

loved the film.

It is a wonderful film.

I think it is safe to assume the earrings are quite valuable. A keepsake or jewelry for a typical evening out would likely not be kept in a safe deposit box. While I assume the value is less than the percentage Gal had coming to him, it seems logical that they are very expensive.

It's safe to assume they are extremely valuable, given that this isn't just any old safety deposit bank, but for the hush hush super elite unheard of. I like the fact that there were some photo's floating around too, probably pictures of very important statesman caught with their pants down or something, blackmailing material.

Speaking as a person who knows jewelry, by the size of those rubies alone they could be worth in the high 6 figures. I loved seeing Dee Dee wearing them at the pool!

No idea about their value. But they shouldn't have been revealed to us in London after the heist. We should only have seen them again on her. Would have packed a bigger wallop that way. And yes...

Yes but revealing them when they did undercuts the meanness of the £10 fee Gal earned for his part in the heist.

So the 10er Teddie pays Gal for the heist was only 10 quid? If that is true I guess Teddie is telling Gal he knows he killed Don and wouldn't bitch about getting paid basically nothing.
