Dom Hemingway, Filth = Kingsley's bandwagon being jumped?
I do enjoy movies where the personality of cruel yet charismatic characters are explored but can't help feeling a pretension inherent in performances of classical or acclaimed actors "playing against type" as chavvy or working class gangsters or thugs with quirky streaks.
Mark Rylance received critical acclaim by "Thugging-Up" for his starring role in 'Jerusalem' and there's a bit of a titillated smugness to majority middle class audiences applauding this essentially class based "black face"
