Don Logan accent changes after getting shot...?

I honkin' love this film! ;)
It resonated with me from the very first viewing.
Growing up in Essex probably has something to do with it.
I'd never seen a film before with such authentic sounding slang in it. To hear Don call Aitch a "Spunk-bubble" was pure gold, as that's an insult that was thrown around loads at my school!

Anyway...
Something that has always bothered me when watching Sexy Beast, and something that I could not find mentioned anywhere else in these posts, is what happens to Don Logan's accent after he is shot and is on the ground howling in pain.

Ben Kingsley's cockney accent is nothing short of perfect all the way through the film, but in this scene he appears to slip back into his "posh" upper class voice. The one he actually has in real life.
If you listen, you can hear him pronounce the words "Oh God..." and some other moaning sounds in a very plummy accent. Check it out...

It's made me think it is due to a number of things:

1. That Don Logan was actually brought up upper-middle class and in the past spoke with well pronounced elocution, but in this moment of vulnerability and pain, he let's slip his "mockney" accent and we hear his true voice. This gives the character a whole new dimension when you think about it. His tough, wide-boy image was in fact, exactly that, an image!

or...
2. That this shot is actually an out-take that the film makers decided to use, but included a brief moment when Ben Kingsley wasn't adopting his Don Logan voice and they thought perhaps no one would notice.

or...
3. That this is simply a mistake that should be added to the "Goofs" section here on IMDB!

I can't recall the exact running time that this takes place, but it should be pretty obvious to spot/hear now when you watch it again.

I'd be interested in knowing if anybody else picked up on it and their thoughts...
Or if I indeed myself, am just being a "Dr White honkin' jam-rag *beep* spunk-bubble!!" ^_^
