Don Logan - sympathetic?

Complete and utter Bully and total bastard, but like all Bully's lonely, vulnerable and insecure - hated by everyone!

Watched TV, alone, in his undercrackers.

Also the victim of unrequited love - gets *beep* and the *beep* kicked out of him at the end.

Can't help but feel a bit sorry for him.

reply

Yeah, he's lovable alright. He ain't boring right? Full of *beep* up energy, so typical of the low life Brit gang-ho punk.

waste yourself before others do. uh huh.

reply

Sorry for him? I was cheering when they ended his equally miserable and annoying existence, good riddance to bad rubbish!

reply

He's one of the most unsympathetic characters I've ever seen in a film. Even his boss (Teddy Bass) let Gal off the hook with his murder he was such an *beep*

reply

No. He's the exact opposite of a sympathetic character.

reply

i've met worse people.

as Don Logan himself would say, "No. no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no skirt no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no nono no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no wank no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no" i didn't feel sorry for him at all.

reply

He was so ghastly I was cheering on his attackers, as they set about him with a ladies' stiletto, a shot-gun and then a great big rock. The character was insane, not sympathetic at all, even a little bit, but he was such a joy on account of Ben Kingsley's performance, to watch, that I kind of get what I think you're saying - you can't like him but sort of want to see a lot more of him in the film.

reply

Exactly. He definitely had to die as he was asking for it the whole time, although, I did feel sorry for him when he said "Jackie, I love you" while they were killing him. Absolutely incredible performance by Sir Ben Kinglsey. :)

reply

I read that Ben Kingsley based the character on his grandmother. She must have been one fun ole gal.
