I've seen grown men pull their own 'eads off...

... rather than see Don!

I'm always reminded of the hilarious Monty Python sketch about the Piranha Brothers when I see this movie.

As brilliantly vicious as Kingsley was, part of what made him so frightening was how the others reacted to him.

The first scene where they talk about Don calling Jackie is fraught with such sheer terror of Don, it really sets up his character to be terrifying. Kudos to Winstone and the other actors.

And as scary as Don Logan was, I think Teddy Bass was even scarier. Ian Mcshane is so icy cold with his reptilian smile, he is like the Devil incarnate. Again, kudos to Winstone who conveys his terror through his eyes.

Love this movie.
