I wanted to hate it but I couldn't.

Okay so I wanted to watch this movie, because I adore musicals, and Ewan McGregor is one of my favorite actors. I looked up how some people felt about it and I thought "no way I can like this but I'll watch it anyway so I at least gave it a chance." I will admit I have a lot of problems with this movie, like the non-sensical sections such as the moon wearing a mustache singing opera (seriously... what is up with that?!?) and how Christian completely degrades Satine at the end, however the vocals were amazing, the song choices were fun, and the third act was genuinely amazing all around (I think the third act is what got it nominated for best picture). Overall, it's a fun movie with a magnificent soundtrack.
