Alice in Wonderland?

If this has been discussed already, sorry, I don't keep up with this board.

I recently saw this movie and all I could think was how much it truly reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. Mark W.'s character, while in the tribute band, idolizes and dreams of how great it would be to be in Steel Dragon. Yet when he gets there he sees the lifestyle it is, and even though it's much of what he expected, with a crazier twist, he realizes the reality of it wasn't as great as he dreamed, much like Alice.

The look-a-like Bimbos were easily Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum, and the drummer who had the health issues reminded me so much of the Caterpillar?

Did anyone else notice these things?
