Bands similar to Steel Dragon

Judas Priest and Journey, of course. They replaced their lead singer with a singer from a tribute band.

But what about Drowning Pool? With each album they get a new singer, just like Steel Dragon.

But didn't the original frontman die from suicide or an overdose? If so they probably would have the original guy to this day if they are still a band.

He didn't kill himself and I'm pretty sure he was drug free...I think it was just a freak heart condition that took him.

When singer Jon Anderson was unable to rejoin progressive rock band YES in 2008 due to health problems, Benoît David replaced him after bassist Chris Squire discovered a video of him performing with a YES tribute band called Close to the Edge. David left the band in 2012 and was replaced by Jon Davison, who was with the YES tribute band Roundabout.
