secondary characters did well

Watching this again today, it occurred to me how I've seen a lot of the secondary characters in modern movies.

The obvious one is of course Simon Pegg.

But there's also Vincent Cassel who plays Gino Bolognese, who is the villain in Derailed. It's funny because I thought I think the potrayal of this character in such a sinister extreme way seemed inappropriate for this comedy movie, but it works well in Derailed.

Also there's Bill Nighy who I've seen quite lately in Underworld. I think he plays a head vampire better than he does an ordinary guest in the hotel.

I think I'm right in saying that these people were pretty much no-names when Paradiso came out, but they're all in top movies now.

Vincent Cassel no-name? LOL

after you said that, I went and checked his movies. Before Guest House Paradiso, he's just been in loads of French movies, the exception being Joan of Arc, which is relatively famous. But seriously, he didn't have a major role in another big film before Paradiso.
I stand by my statement. No need to 'LOL' jack ass.

Right, the whole world is watching only American films, isn't? Besides he's married to Monica Bellucci (lucky bastard), which makes him famous by default.

Simon Pegg, Kate Ashfield, and Bill Nighy were all in shaun of the dead, I saw this after shaun of the dead, so i thought that was kind of funny and interesting.

Hadn't realised til I saw the credits, but the woman who played the french love interest in Dr who, The Girl In The Fireplace,(sorry, forget her name) was one of the dream nymphs.

Vincent Cassel was in La haine before Guest house and that's a pretty famous movie. I believe it's in the IMDB top 250.

I just didn't want to be a loser anymore.
