Watched again. Still great!
Watching this film again and I have to say it doesn't deserve even half of the flak it gets or got on release. I thought it was pretty good when I first saw it but I'm actually sitting in tears from laughing at what complete *beep* the two stars are in the film and it's just brilliant!
Ok some of the production values are a little off but it's a surreal film so it adds to the cheese and humour. As a film I really think it's quite well made with some excellent cinematography and is a fitting tribute to the two's work over the years.
The only problem I really have with it is that it isn't the same characters from the TV show but at the same time it so obviously is. Even if there was a small explanation that said they were in hiding after faking getting killed at the end of season 3 or something, that would have done but it's always something that just stuck in my craw.
Some of the actual setups are a bit obvious but I just can't help laughing at Rik and what a total dick he is to everyone.
Great stuff!
