Very Good Friends aka Beat the Turtle Drum

I just watched this one again last night and loved it as much as I did the first time I saw it, but upon seeing how pathetic the girls' treehouse was, I realize why Joss fell out of it. It had no walls whatsoever. What kind of a treehouse doesn't have walls? That's why she fell out of it, but it wasn't Kate's fault. She shouldn't have felt like it was, but whoever built that shoddy treehouse should have taken the blame.

Indeed. It looked pretty unfinished, with just a foundation and no walls. Today there would be lawsuits. But more than whoever built that shoddy treehouse, I blame Sir Isaac Newton.

Regardless, it's one of the best "Afterschool Specials," a very poignant and ultimately hopeful look at a very difficult topic. Kudos to Melissa Sue Anderson for her sensitive performance.
