Emilie de Ravin's accent

I've been rewatching the show (originally watched it when it aired and haven't watched since), and I remembered Emilie de Ravin's American accent being better. What do others think of her American accent here? I'm just glad in the stuff I've seen her in since (like Lost, Once Upon a Time), they're letting her use her real accent. It seems that a lot of Australians are good at doing American accents (usually better than any of the British accents), but I have heard other Australians have a similar sound when they tried to switch to an American accent (Phoebe Tonkin, for example).

I remember that it wasn't too good--but she was an alien. It cracked, especially when she got emotional.

I always thought she sounded like she had marbles in her mouth.

I don't mind her using her accent in Roswell or LOST, but I hate that she uses it in Once Upon a Time. Belle was supposed to be from France, not Australia. I get that all the characters in the show are really from the same place instead of other origin countries, but it's still annoying.

I never noticed it when Roswell first aired, but rewatching the show now it's painfully obvious, every other word is a weird Americo-Australian accent mix, and some words she doesn't even try to mask it! "I have feelings furrr Max, Isabel. Sssstrooo-awwwwwng faylungs." "Oi deedunt mayn to hurt yew Koiyle!" "Stay away from moi boiby, Charlie!" Oh wait, wrong show. :D It's most evident when that girl who's related to Michael was on the show. Her name was 'Laurie' and Emilie understandably struggled to get the pronunciation right. Every time she said it it sounded different to the last time. 'Lowwwrie', 'Larrie', 'Lo-uhrie'.
