Campy train wreck

Roswell started off alright but then it degraded into a campy train wreck.

Yeah it jumped the shark when Alex died.

I would say it did that when Max turned into a jerk and Isabel became a wimp.

Right. That was in the last third of S1 when the showmakers changed gears on
the show. I mean silly stupid secret agents,killings and 101 teendrama.

The first season has this unique charm to it, where the writing and acting may not be the best but it is still captivating. The second season is not bad, but it does take a sharp decline when they decided to do the Tess/Alex story line. Season 3 is without charm or charisma.

I hated losing Alex but it worked because Tess was so obviously evil from the get go. I would say season 3 was jumping the shark when they turned Liz into a criminal. I did enjoy watching her nearly kill Tessa with alien MOJO though.

Season 3 got better after Ch-Ch-Changes onward. Though season 1 was by far the best.

The show jumped the ship in season 3 when max went psycho about finding his kid..season 3 was so horrible except for the last 4 episodes.

Season 1 was basically perfect... season 2 started out strong but Alex death and making Tess evil having a baby was just bad. Isabelle marriage took away from the characters people actually cared about and ruined season 3 and by the time it started to get good it was over so rushed.
