Just watched with my little brother.

I saw this before my brother was even born and I was about 10. I watched it with my mum and dad and my sister(8). Me and my sister were sobbing by the end and couldn't be left alone for the rest of the night. My parents kept trying to convince us it wasn't real but we weren't buying it. It disturbed me without a doubt, but I have fond memories of it and it's an experience I share with the majority of people my age who were traumatised by Pipes. The name still makes my stomach turn.

I rented it on DVD to watch with my brother who is 9, I am now 23. I told him it was real but he didn't believe it. I've got to say I'm surprised I did, some of the acting is just diabolical. But as it progressed and Pipes made his appearance I felt that same dread I did that Halloween. I noticed my brother was getting nervous as well. By the time the girl was speaking in Pipes' voice my brother looked terrified.

I told him it was fake at the end and he said he knew it was. He loved it and has just brought in one of his mates to watch it with him. I would love it if it was shown again this Halloween, or even remade with todays TV presenters. The BBC need to understand that people love being scared and the only reason so many people complained is because they were so embarrassed they got sucked in.

Wow man, that reflects my experience of "Ghostwatch" almost exactly. I was ten at the time, twenty three now as well. I remember demanding to watch something "normal" like match of the day afterwards. People go on about how hammy the acting was but i was totally convinced. Me and all my mates couldn't stop talking about it the next day at school. Everyone was trying to convince themselves the whole thing was "rubbish" even though we were all clearly shaken by it. I must admit I was a nervous wreck and got my mum to walk me to and from school for the first time in ages. I'm pleased that your brother liked it as it should not be forgotten- One of the most pivotal viewing experiences of my youth!
