The Story of Raymond Tunstal

I saw this way back in '92 when it went out and I haven't seen it since, can someone tell me what the story of Raymond Tunstal was. I remember somthing to do with a woman who killed children and cats eating his face (nice thought) but and i know he was ment to be the ghost. But what was the full story

Thanks !

It was something like he was a lodger at the house, thats why there was no record of him been there, he was a paedo and a nut case and should never have been let out from a psychi ward, he had lots of cats and when he hanged himself in his room the cats began to eat him ect.

Tunstall was a lodger at the house in the 60's I think and he was released into the community even though he was an obvious threat to children. The suggestion was made I seem to recall (I'm going on what the guy said on the phone and my memory may be a little hazy) that he could hear voices in the house telling him to kill himself.

He hanged himself by attaching the rope to a lathe in the cellar under the stairs, where the cats (who hadn't been fed due to the owners being away) began to eat him.

The further suggestion is that there is some kind of malevolent force on the site of the house that predates certainly Tunstall and even Mother Sneddons the baby farmer. Something that takes over these nasty pieces of work and uses them.

Now imagine you were a naive 12 year old watching this, as I was; scarred me for life!

Raymond Tunstall used to dress as a woman when he was possessed by Mother Sneddons. That's why in all the shots Pipes appears, he's wearing a dress (although it looks like a medieval outfit).

He was a child molester and murderer (much like Fred West) and when he was found out, he hanged himself (also, like Fred West) in the cupboard under the stairs.

The reason for the cat screams is because he kept loads, and upon his death, and not being discovered for a few weeks, the cats got hungry and devoured most of him down to the bone, which is why his face is mutilated (including one eye missing).

This is all in the script which you can access if you put the BFI DVD into a computer. The actual story of Tunstall is infinitely scarier than what they actually broadcast.
