He almost immediately leaves to work for Bob Russell.
Then he gets his ass handed to him in the Democrat race.
They kinda shat on him as a character.
Then, worst fate of all, they put him with Kate Harper. Yuck.
When you binge the series you realise Will Bailey is told several times that Bob Russell was the Republican Party choice. So it's a bit inconsistent that he keeps complaining 'you chose this guy - I thought there was some quality ...'.
But on the other hand he's established as party power player and sets of to win his own seat and he had Kate Harper, which I personally would consider a massive plus.
