Acts like she had no clue about being a part of the presidential family. She whines and moans and acts put out the whole time.
share@rolaca Yeah, she seemed surprised too often, like about security, the size of her personal staff, and her decorating budget. You'd think she'd have researched what a First Lady's life is like.
I get why they wrote Helen that way - her reactions are supposed to convey to us the strange situation she's in. But we'd understand that anyway, so she just comes off as naive and unprepared.
It didn't help when she seemed so lost on so many things, yet we're supposed to think of her as very intelligent and nuanced. She knows information like how much ethonal is subsidized and a few other topics i don't care enough to remember, but doesn't know what a first lady does apparently.
