WW and soap opera GH

Another interesting tidbit and possibly could come true in this administration, but there was an episode where the President is speaking to a group of college students & this is his quote (same episode where he got shot, end of season 1)

"53% of 18-25 year olds believe the soap opera General Hospital will outlast Medicare "

At this airing GH would have been about 36 yrs old at that time, it is now almost 55 years old. Out of 4 remaining soap operas currently on US TV it has been on the longest and is 3rd longest running in American history. That said at the time there were about 9 daytime soap operas still around in 1999 (again now 4) As far as I know, GH is not up for cancellation in the next few years.
