Worst part about the show?

to me, it was the happy closing music. No matter the mood at the end of the episode, the same happy closing theme music would come on. POTUS personal dr. gets blown out of the sky in the last moments: happy music comes on. Staff gets shot at: happy closing music. Zoe kidnapped: happy closing music. Shut down the government after budget impasse: happy closing music.

I think most shows have learned their lesson and alter the music at the end of each episode, too bad TWW didn't figure this out on their own because on many occasions it was a horrifying mood killer.

It didn't exist that way on the original broadcast. The music (and still image) over the credits was a creation for the DVDs, syndication, streaming, etc. (I think I heard somewhere that this music was an early concept for the opening theme that was ultimately not used. Not positive of that, though.)

I think a lot of fans share your opinion on this! I know it's been mentioned on 'The West Wing Weekly'.

In my opinion, the worst part of the show is the fact that it isn't on anymore!!!
