Magarets baby??

I thought there was an episode where Margaret looked pregnant. Josh and Leo talk about it... what happens to that??!

reply

It wound up in the same place as the baby that Susan St. James had during "McMillan and Wife." It fell into a massive plot hole, but in Margaret's case, it probably wound up in Mandyville.

At the end of Season 5, Mary McCormick was hiding her pregnancy behind notebooks.

🎭All the world is a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.

Yes ok!! I did wonder about that :)

Thanks.

Margaret wasn't pregnant, the actress who plays her was and they ignored it.

It was explicitly stated that she was pregnant, but no mention of who the father was, nor any mention of a baby later when she was clearly no longer pregnant.

This is from S6E16 (Drought Conditions):

Josh: Am I seeing things, or is she?
CJ: Very.
Josh: I didn't know she was pregnant.
CJ: She's pregnant.
Josh: I didn't even know she was married.
CJ: (gives Josh a "look")
Josh: Right.

NiCole Robinson also commented on this once. I can't find the original article, but the below is from this thread: http://movies.stackexchange.com/questions/34289/was-any-further-information-on-margarets-pregnancy-ever-given
Robinson: [...] And, let’s be honest, the fans want to know who Margaret’s baby daddy is.

Watercooler (Jon McDaid): All right, I’ll bite, who is Margaret’s baby daddy?

Robinson: I get that a lot. A lot of people think it was Ron Silver.

WC: My two choices are Bruno [Silver’s character] or [Secret Service agent] Ron Butterfield, because you know that guy could keep a secret.

Robinson: I hadn’t heard that one. The UPS guy and Bruno are the two that I heard. I like the Ron Butterfield one.

I mean, Margaret's not a character whose personal life is focused on, like, at all really. She continues to be pregnant through Season 6, returning to normal weight in Season 7. I have no difficulty believing she had the baby in the offseason, and is raising it.

In the IMDb trivia section for this TV show:

During the sixth season, NiCole Robinson, who plays Margaret, became pregnant. Although the show did choose to acknowledge Margaret as also being pregnant, there was never any clue given about the identity of the baby's father, whether or not Margaret was married or partnered, or even whether Margaret kept the baby herself or gave it up for adoption. Since these things were never addressed on the show itself, they were the subject of rampant fan speculation, and when Robinson was interviewed by TV Guide after the show's finale, she said that her two best guesses for the baby's father were either Ron Silver's character (Bruno Gianelli) or "the UPS guy."
