Mannequin VS TS
Anyone else see Mannequin with Kim Catral and Andrew McCarthy??
And there was that sequal also...
I can only wonder if Mannequin was ripped off of Today's Special!!!
They are so similar to each other!!
I have seen and really like both "Mannequin" part 1 and 2, and I would have to say that you're correct! There was a big influx of fantasy movies at the time though, it was big- Mermaids (Splash), magical dwarves (Willow), unicorns (The Last Unicorn), and not to mention all the cool scifi like "Star Trek TNG" and "Not Quite Human", all of which was highly entertaining for kids, and that's just scratching the surface. Fortunately similar types of entertainment are coming back now, not to mention so many children's shows from the 80s (in particular Jim Henson's stuff), so I definitely see no reason why a TS comeback would not be successful. Now, if we can get TVO, Morningstar or whoever else who would be responsible for redistriution to agree as well. BTW, what shows and/or characters do you see as similar to the characters or TS in general?

the fact that there are actors and actresses that can play dam good mannequins...(Jeff, Kristy Swanson from Mannequin 2, and Kim Catral from Mannequin 1)...
In fact Jeff from TS should have been in Mannequin 1 or 2...
