Hey thanks guys for posting those!! They certainly brought back memories...Have you noticed that no one really remembers this show? I used to watch it all the time when I was little but whenever I mention it if my friends and I are talking about old kid's shows nobody knows what I am talking about.

shareGrr. I just think that TVO is being stubborn- as if old or retro stuff or anything that's "different" is somehow bad or won't sell nowadays (especially to young kids). Call me a nostalgic young adult, but that to me is really B.S. Just look at who was nominated and won Oscars and Golden Globes this year as a good example of this kind of thing! I have a saying- Good is good, regardless of where or when it was made. TS is apparently the main show people contact TVO about, yet they won't release it, even though there are many people who really dislike the shows on TV these days for kids and want to see TS, even if they don't have children themselves. There aren't too many other shows out there that can say that. I know I have been collecting the Disney classics and anything on the Muppets I can, because that's good quality, timeless stuff. There is a whole lot out there though that seems to be on 50% of the stations every morning that has no business being there, and that anyone past age 6 would just die if they were caught watching it, let alone discussing it afterwards with their child(ren). Television should being generations together, not tear them apart, and that's what TS and so many shows like it, especially around that time, did so well.

HOLY CRAP YES! I've been asking people about it for a few years, but I have yet to find someone who remembers! And I could never remember how he came to life; I'd always just be like, "Something with the hat..."
They must've played reruns of it on Nick - that, or I have extremely early memories as a child, because I'm 19 and I definitely remember watching Today's Special.
