Yeah but SpeedRacer2K - Warner Brothers have been saying the 'music licensing issue' excuse for years. But they never elaborate what songs or episodes are such a problem to them? And I think EVERY Third Watcher would rather have generic background music (or even a less famous bands music than the original band used in whatever episodes) if it meant we could ACTUALLY own all the series and be able to WATCH them again. Like TV is meant to be. I don't want to illegally download I just want to lend my friends dvd sets so they can just see this brilliant show.
So Warners we don't CARE about the frickin music we just want to see all the series released for the first time ever!!! I actually think millions around the world would buy this on dvd (no matter whether dvd sales are down) because it'd be the first time the complete set was available for all.
If Warners are so terrified of licensing issues why don't they do a small trial run of dvds say 3 million copies in the US and if they sell out quickly that'll show them there's a market. Then the poor rest of the world might be able to get some dvds released in their regions too? It's surely a no-brainer to try this for the show then losing an endless trickle of money year in and year out due to piracy?
