Never heard of it...until today (wow!)

Picked this up on DVD today in a charity shop (never heard of it before..but love stuff from this era) popped it in the player and was blown away by how bleak and thought-provoking it was (especially given that it's a kids TV show)
I'm only 3 episodes in, but I'm already hooked. Despite the languid pace, it succeeds in showing how easy society can collapse (and also how fascists can use basic resources like 'food' to exploit such plight to gain power) I'm not entirely sure how this was received back in 1980, but apart from the fashions, it's not dated much (and still seems plausible, in these volatile times)

Top notch stuff (highly recommended for fans of Terry Nation's SURVIVORS)
