In season 2 episode 13 "The Wedding", Why does McGuirk freak out when Stephanie takes her clothes off? I mean that's what he wanted to do since he first met her, he went to the hotel room with that in mind, what was going on?

The answer is this: McGuirk is a bag of hot air. A lovable bag of hot air, but a bag of hot air just the same. He's all show & no go. He's all talk. He wants to get with her, and when a girl finally acts exactly how he hopes one will for him one day, he's stunned. He gets weak-kneed, and chokes right before the hurdle. She was out of his league, anyway...poor guy.
