I have found Melissa's dad, Erick Robbins, to be one of the funniest characters on this show. He only appears in a few episodes, but his constant schtick is absolutely hilarious. The fact that he can't let one sentence go without making a pun or a witty remark is hysterical, he is a great addition to this ingeniously funny series.

He is also one of my favorites. The one where he's trying to help McGuirk find a new place to live cracks me up every time. I just also loved how he was so awkward around Paula.
