Did anyone else find the ending sad?

A part of me died when the camera was smashed.

Brendon's urge to make movies would most likely be fulfilled by years end. After begging Paula for a new camera for months, on Christmas morning, Brendon would open the one solitary present he had sitting under the tree. Inside the wrapped box was a new video camera. A new video camera along with a top of the line fisheye lens.

While the series didn't continue, I'm certain Brendon is still making crappy videos with Jason & Melissa.

That sounds hopeful. I also got a little teary-eyed with the camera smashing and Brendon's face staring back at it and also because I loved the show so much. I think he's not finished making movies either..it's his passion. I think he just needed a break though for a while to experience life without it and I'm sure after a while he'll come back to it and realize he missed it.

Yeah, the ending is sad, yet...

Since Brandon is based on the creator, I like to think he actually grew up to making a living doing what he loves most. Creating Metalocalypse, making soundtracks and regular stints as an (voice)actor. Yeah, Brandon did well for himself.

I didn't realize I was watching the finale until it was over. Then it was like the same kind of sad as what you feel when a good friend leaves.

Please, go...Stop smiling, it's not a joke. Please leave...The party's over. Get out.

I found it sad too. I still think about that and this show frequently. But it was a good and appropriate way to go out.
